Warranty Policy

This Warranty Policy explains how we handle product defects for purchases on oh-yes-toys.co.uk. Read it alongside our Terms & Conditions, Returns & Refunds and Shipping Policy.

12 months from delivery, unless a product page/brand states otherwise.
What’s covered
Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal intended use.
What’s not covered
Wear & tear, misuse, improper care, liquid ingress where unrated, damage, hygiene breaches.
Proof required
Order number, photos/video, serial/lot (if any). Keep all accessories.

1) Scope & term

  • Unless stated otherwise on the product page, our standard warranty period is 12 months from delivery.
  • The warranty applies to products purchased directly from oh-yes-toys.co.uk by adult customers (18+).
  • Some brands may offer a different term or require registration — if longer, you’ll benefit from that brand’s term.

2) Covered defects

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship present under normal intended use within the warranty period.
  • Electronics: controller/PCB faults, motor failure, charging circuit defects, provided correct chargers/cables were used.
  • Mechanical: premature failure of moving parts not caused by misuse or inadequate care.

3) Exclusions (not covered)

  • Normal wear & tear; cosmetic marks that don’t affect function.
  • Misuse, improper storage/cleaning, chemical damage (incl. incompatible lubricants/cleaners), overheating.
  • Water damage where the product is not rated waterproof, or use beyond stated IP rating.
  • Accident/impact, crushing, pet/child damage, fire, liquid ingress, sand/dust contamination beyond rating.
  • Unauthorised repairs/modifications, opened casings, altered serials/lot codes, missing hygiene seals when required.
  • Batteries/consumables degrading from normal use (see special notes below).
  • Hygiene breaches preventing safe inspection (soiled items). See Returns for hygiene rules.

4) How to make a claim

  1. Email love@oh-yes-toys.co.uk with subject “Warranty claim — Order #XXXX”.
  2. Describe the issue (when it occurs, after how many uses), attach photos/video, and include your order number.
  3. Wait for instructions. We may ask for extra evidence, troubleshooting, or safe return for inspection.
  4. Do not send products back until we authorise the return and provide the correct address/label.

5) Evidence we need

  • Order number and contact email used at checkout.
  • Clear photos/video demonstrating the fault (and of the charger/cable if relevant).
  • Serial/lot number where present; confirmation of cleaning/storage routine may be requested for hygiene/electronic claims.

6) Available remedies

Repair or replace

If the defect is confirmed, we’ll repair or replace with the same or equivalent model (like-for-like).

Store credit or refund

If repair/replacement isn’t viable, we may issue store credit or a refund considering product age/availability.

DOA (dead on arrival)

Report within 48 hours of delivery with photos/video; we’ll prioritise replacement.

Remedy choice is at our reasonable discretion, subject to law and practical availability.

7) Warranty shipping

  • We’ll advise whether a return is required. For confirmed faults, we cover reasonable return postage if pre-authorised (label or reimbursement of standard tracked service).
  • The item is your responsibility until received by our warehouse; please pack securely and keep tracking proof.
  • Cross-shipping (advance replacement) is generally unavailable; where offered, a temporary charge/hold may apply until the faulty unit is received.

8) Special notes

Batteries & charging

Use only the supplied/compatible charger and cable. Battery capacity naturally degrades with time; moderate degradation is not a defect.

Waterproof ratings

Respect the stated IP rating. Liquid ingress beyond rating is excluded. Ensure charging ports are fully sealed before cleaning.

Consumables

Lubricants, cleaners, and similar consumables are not covered once opened unless the fault is manufacturing-related.

9) Third-party brands

Some brands operate their own warranty processes. We’ll guide you if a brand requires direct handling; your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits your statutory consumer rights under applicable law (England & Wales). Where there is a conflict, your legal rights take precedence.
